Dr. Daniel H. Cohen MD

is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Cohen has over 30 years of experience in the field of Rheumatology. Dr. Cohen graduated from New York University Medical School Alpha Omega Alpha and was the winner of the Samuel Spiegel Prize for distinguished student in Internal Medicine at NYU. Dr. Cohen performed his medical residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and his Rheumatology fellowship at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Cohen is the winner of the Castle Connolly Top Doctors award from 2002-2008 and 2010-2015. This award is given to doctors in the New York Metro Area who are highly recommended by their peers and other healthcare professionals. This recognition identifies the top physicians in the New York Metro Area who possess the highest level of medical skill and expertise. Dr. Cohen has published in the fields of and is a recognized expert in amyloidosis and Familial Mediterranean Fever. He also has particular interests in osteoporosis and was one of the first practitioners to bring bone densitometry to Long Island, NY.

Dr. Stuart D. Kaplan MD

is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Kaplan has over 30 years of experience in Rheumatology. Dr. Kaplan graduated from Albert Einstein Medical College and performed his Rheumatology fellowship at North Shore/LIJ Hospital. Dr. Kaplan has particular interests in anti-phospholipid syndrome and is a recognized expert in lupus and lupus pregnancy. Dr. Kaplan’s patients describe him as a doctor who is compassionate, smart, caring, and who has an incredible bed side manner.

Dr. Benjamin Levine MD

is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Levine has over 10 years of experience in Rheumatology. Dr. Levine graduated from Albert Einstein Medical School and performed his Rheumatology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Hospital. Dr. Levine has proven himself a master rheumatologist through the handling of all aspects of clinical immunology, medical orthopedics and musculoskeletal medicine. Dr. Levine’s patients describe him as a doctor who is professional, compassionate and thorough.

Dr. Jordan Brodsky MD

is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Brodsky comes to our office from his position as Administrative Fellow of Rheumatology of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he also served his Rheumatology Fellowship. Dr. Brodsky has particular expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound and joint injection methods.

Dr. Brodsky aspires to be a twenty-first century Rheumatologist, blending his earliest experiences and knowledge gained in medical school, Internal Medicine Residency and Rheumatology fellowship. He strives to be a truly understanding, compassionate, competent, and knowledgeable practitioner while contributing to medical teaching and research. With the current medical advancements in disease modifying agents, biologic drugs, ultrasound and MRI, he aspires to be a dynamic Rheumatologist.

Dr. Brodsky’s clinical interests include connective tissue diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, vasculitis, gout, pseudogout, spondyloarthropathies, scleroderma, antiphospholipid syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.

Dr. Asaf Klein MD

is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Klein graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, NY and performed his residency at the world famous Cleveland Clinic. After moving back to NY, he completed a rheumatology fellowship at Northwell Health in Long Island. During his fellowship he collaborated with some of the world's experts in Lupus.

Dr. Klein's clinical interests include connective tissue diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, vasculitis, gout, pseudogout, spondyloarthropathies, scleroderma, antiphospholipid syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.

Dr. Klein ascribes to the motto: The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.

Dr. Rana Mongroo MD

is joining us after completing her Rheumatology fellowship at Winthrop Hospital. She is a native New Yorker and completed all levels of her education here. She attended SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York which was immediately followed by Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, New York. Dr. Mongroo is energetic, passionate about patient care, and compassionate and strives to perform at the highest standards.

Dr. Mongroo’s clinical interests are broad and include connective tissue diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthropathies, vasculitis, crystalline arthritis, scleroderma, antiphospholipid syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren’s syndrome, and osteoporosis.


Dr. Tobin Abraham MD

is joining the practice after completing his rheumatology fellowship at NYU Winthrop Hospital. He graduated from the BS/MD medical program at Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, obtaining his MD degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. He did his internal medicine training, chief residency, and rheumatology fellowship at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, NY. Dr. Abraham strives to provide patients with the utmost care and compassion.

Dr. Lauren Tesoriero DO

is joining our practice after completing her Rheumatology fellowship at NYU Langone Long Island Hospital (formerly Winthrop University Hospital). She attended New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY, where she graduated in the top 10th percentile of her medical school class. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency, Internal Medicine Chief Residency, and Rheumatology Fellowship at NYU Langone Long Island Hospital in Mineola, NY. Dr. Tesoriero is empathetic, enthusiastic, and aims to treat each patient with the same care and compassion she would offer her own family members.

Dr. Tesoriero’s clinical interests are broad and include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, connective tissue diseases, gout, pseudogout, spondyloarthropathies, vasculitis, scleroderma, antiphospholipid syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, and osteoporosis.
